it's sweater time! Ever wonder what we do with all the fabulous newfie fur left from grooming?9/24/2021 Introducing Chiengora! Beautiful hand-spun wool made from dog fur! And what better dog fur to use than Newfies'? Water-resistant and super warm! Recycling at its finest, or should we say "furriest!?" See more about the process below.... There's lots of it (dog fur) that goes into landfills (sob) and it's so useful and beautiful. Newfy is especially nice, IMO, as it behaves like alpaca, and is super easy to work with. You guys do such a nice job of gathering it, I am able to spin it right out of the bag. It's really nice stuff. Yours is of such good quality, that you kind of set the bar high - thanks to the kids for being so good about getting all the dirt out!

Hello, I have just made yarn from my 2 Newfoundland dogs, and I want to knit a sweater, but uncertain of the sizes of pins to use. It is double spun, and 30 meter yearn weighs 50 grams. Just wondering what you are using for your projects. The long coat looks fantastic!
