Laurel's 10-24-18 Litter Sire: Walter

The Girls
Leslie (New name "Doris") - Now home with the Hill Family in NC!
ONE OF OUR LARGEST ADULT FEMALES ON RECORD AT 154 LBS AT 2 YEARS!
11-18-20 Update after joining our NewfieDoodle reservations list:
We are all so very excited about all of the new puppies at Moore Family Newfoundlands' home and cannot wait to hear that we will soon have one of our own NewfieDoodles around here!
I'm attaching a few update pics of our darling Doris. She's the sweetest and gentlest huge dog I've ever known. She's hanging around our new backyard (just standing on her two back legs in the 3' end of pool-ha!), and waiting for her new friend to arrive :)
Have a Happy Day!

9-11-20 Update
We just can’t thank you enough for our sweet perfect Doris! She’s so good to our family and is always right there in the center of all the action when it comes to our 3 & 5 year old boys. She looks after us & loves us and is about as goofy as they come! I could go on and on and on about all the ways we feel blessed to have this sweet baby but I won’t bore you! Just know I couldn’t imagine a better Dog for this family & thanks to all your hard work you made that happen for us. ❤️
Also, please know there’s a couple pictures where my youngest child is sitting on Doris’s back, it alarmed me at first because I didn’t want Doris to get hurt but she seems to not only be okay with it but she actually loves it... I find her sitting with the boys like this all the time... they call her their horse.

Ladie "Ella" - Now Home with Toni and family in TN!
July 2019
Endearing things about Ella:
At night she sleeps in my bedroom on the tile flooring in bathroom ( no crate) where she can see my bed. She has free access to house, but prefers to stay in my room. When I was recovering from surgery she would roam to the girls room to check on everyone :). She hardly ever gets in her crate unless it’s mid day and I have to run out for an appointment that may take longer than two hours . She wakes up about 630 in the morning and wants to go to the potty. And then she goes out again about 745 before I ran to work.
When we take walks she really likes picking sticks or branches off the ground from the oak or palm trees and carries them around the block back home. If it’s pretty outside still ( summer in Fl- hot) and we can sit outside and when we get back she really has fun sitting under the trees and chewing the sticks all up, it’s very messy but she really has fun time doing it.
She likes to play fetch but she really doesn’t do it for a very long she loses interest fast as well. I was trying to help her play frisbee with me and she actually caught it three times last week, but then I broke my arm and couldn’t do it anymore. :( I bet she’d a really good frisbee dog.
She loves all her stuffed animals, she sleeps with them or carries them around the house with her and brings them to us or guests when they come in the door. And since she’s gotten a little bigger in the last month she now picks up two at a time, ha ha. She doesn’t even try to destroy them up all the stuffing out like some dogs do. In the box is a little teeny lion, she loves that the best, especially when she’s laying on the tile in front of the fireplace. The squeaky ducks (she had one of those coming back from your house when I first got her and as you see now she has two,) she loves those guys. And a pink bunny is one of her favorites that she sleeps with as well.
She’s good with other dogs . she’s had a couple play dates with groups of dogs at the puppy class establishment and different neighbors yards and houses - she did really great. She really likes the lab down the street. We have a little shi-poo she really loves ( sometimes too much, lol, he’s covered in slobber frequently) and we also have a cat. Ella loves the cat and has tried desperately to have the cat play, but Kitty isn’t too interested. Poor Ella.
I have a lot of trees out back and Ella loves to sit under them and watch all the birds and squirrels and rabbits. She’s so cute 💞
One early morning we were taking a walk and the moon was huge and still out. She just stopped and stared at it and cocked her head, so fun.
When she’s ready to take a nap or go to sleep at night, she’s like a little kid and fights the sleep. She either gets really hyper and runs around or she starts talking a lot, ha ha. She’s so silly. Once she finally quits fighting to go to sleep, she lays down with a heavy sigh and then looks up at us and then falls sleep.
If she falls asleep before we go to bed, I just tell her up up when she wakes up and we go to the restroom and we go to bed and she’s just fine all night.
Tricks Ella knows
Sit - She can sit
Come- , I say “come on Ellie Bellie” and she gets all excited and comes.
Down- She doesn’t know down yet but she’s trying.
If I have to put her in the cage and we go to the cage I just look at her and say “In In.”
And when she’s laying down and she needs to get up I said “Up Up”
She still nips a little to get people to play, but she doesn’t bite that much anymore, she’s almost grown out of that.
She doesn’t like her feet touched very much. I’m always trying to play with her feet and her toes so it’s not as difficult to get her feet groomed and toenails clipped. I actually think she’s ticklish.
She has never chewed anything up in the house, just her bones and toys. She’s awesome. She use to get in the garbage but she has learned not to do that too now. :)
When we go to the refrigerator to get a glass of water and use the ice she runs right over and sits down. She loves ice cubes.
And she loves loves loves car rides 😀
She’s very sweet and a little silly all wrapped up in one. She smiles a lot :)

Lindsie "Audrey Hepburn"
Now home with the Garcias in VA!
10-2-2019
We are absolutely in love with this dream girl. She loves our other dogs and they have really become great "big sisters" to her. I even think the cats like her!!! We actually renamed her to "Audrey Hepburn" one of our favorite actresses. Audrey Hepburn was a real animal lover and quite beautiful, so we think it really fits her. Thanks for our beautiful baby. She is the absolute best.

Lilac "Halle" Now home with Brianna and Mark in Virginia Beach!
4-4-20 Update
Halle’s doing great! She’s such an amazing dog for our little one (8 months old). She’s so patient and sweet with her! We take her swimming when we can, it’s like the only thing that actually makes her tired! We take her for walks and it gives her more energy but swimming wears her out for 2 days! She is over a year old but still has a little bit of her puppy energy left.
5-5-19 update:
Halle (Lilac) is doing great! She is so sweet and wonderful with children which we are most happy about. We’ve taken her out to socialize and have had toddlers walk right up to her and grab her face and she completely tolerates it.

Logan "Chewy" - Now home with Nick and Drew (and Waffles!), NC!!!
Update from 9-13-21
These big goobers never fail to make us laugh! They’re still the best of friends. They are going in for an end of summer groom next week - woohoo! (much needed, as you can see). They’ve been loving the cool morning here in the NC mountains and have been very watchful over our growing hen flock. They bring us so much joy and laughter - can’t believe they’re both almost 3!

Update from 9-29-20
Hey Moore family!
Just a few Chewy and Waffles update photos :) We moved to a home on 3 acres in the country, just north of Asheville, and they are absolutely loving the space! As you will see - Chewy loves the 6 foot bean bag that we got for our entertainment room - he immediately made it his hangout spot when we brought it in. They are too funny and continue to be healthy and happy.

Leeman "Kona" - home with Stephen and Family, VA!
Update January 26, 2019
Kona is doing very well. He turned 3 months this past Thursday. Last Tuesday he had his third boosters at the vet. The vet is very impressed with his growths and health. He weighed 33.7 lbs - a 13lbs gain in three weeks. He’s doing very well. He loves the cold weather. We are always calling him in from the screened in porch. Lots of fun and silliness.

Leon "Hagrid" - Home with Kelley IN GA!!!
Update March 25, 2019
Leon (now Hagrid) has had all of his booster shots and rabies shot. He takes his heartworm and flea medication very easily... I just put it in his food and he eats it right up! He is eating Science Diet Large Breed Puppy food, currently going through a bag every 2 weeks. I’ve had to put obstacles in his food dish to prevent him from eating too quickly.
He’s learned sit, lay down, roll over, shake, come, and heel. The next commands we will work on are stay and back up.
He doesn’t pay any attention to the chickens (that’s a good thing!) and after his first experience with horses, he doesn’t mind them. I’ve tried to let him swim, but he is very uncertain of the water. When it warms up some more, I’ll get in and see if that encourages him any! His absolute favorite activity is wrestling with his sister, Jenna!
As for the coming Georgia heat.... he’s already forced us to keep our heat at 62 this winter (good for electric bill!). He will have a kiddie pool outside to stay cool. Of course, when I’m outside with him he will have access to the pond. And for indoors, we purchased a portable AC unit to cool off one room in the house for him, without running our power bill up trying to cool the entire house that much!
He has so much personality, and everybody who meets him loves him! Thank you so much for allowing us to add the final touch to our family!
