Lauren's and Kayak's F1B NewfieDoodles
Our first F1B litter of NewfieDoodles was born to our special F1 NewfieDoodle Kayak and beautiful cream/white standard Poodle Lauren on October 16. We expect these puppies to mature in size somewhere between their parents' weights of 55-95 lbs. Since they're 75% Poodle/25% Newfoundland, they shouldn't shed or drool at all. We think this combination of parents will produce ideal temperaments:
gentle, smart, sweet, playful, a bit goofy, and oh so beautiful too!
See Kayak and his parents Jersie (Newfie) and George (Poodle) below.

"Remi is about 65 lbs. he doesn’t shed at all. His hair is fluffy and looks like it’s crimped. His hair doesn’t tangle at all. He’s very energetic and playful - great temperament.
Ella is about 53 lbs She is very curly and sheds just a little, not bad though. Her hair tends to tangle & mat. We just had a shave with her to start over on the hair. So we will see how it grows back. She’s full of energy as well, but more snuggly and calm.
They are such wonderful companions- both to one another and to us. They love to wrestle & romp with each other."

May 2023 update:
Muffin is doing great!! She is very active and curious and she is very smart! She goes to doggy daycare some days and loves playing with her friends there. She has learned sit and she is trained to go to her place and also does a great job walking on the leash. She's about 40lbs now and has a huge appetite. It has definitely been worth the investment getting dog training done so she doesn't jump up on people anymore. She loves kiddos and loves to give kisses. She loves to play with her toys and chase our son around the house or outside. She is full of energy but she also loves to cuddle on the couch and lay on our laps. Everyone always comments about how beautiful she is and how soft her fur is - she gets lots of compliments anywhere she goes. She has had no shedding and no drooling at all!! She honestly is a perfect dog - especially for someone like us who wanted a big dog like a Newfoundland but weren't sure if we could handle all the drooling. So we get the big cuddly dog but don't have to worry about the drool. 😂 She's the perfect mix!!
June 2024 update:
Muffin is doing great! She doesn't shed or drool (although she's a very sloppy water drinker 😂). She weighs a little under 60 pounds so she's on the smaller side I think compared to her siblings. She has a really great temperament and was very easy to crate train and to train on other commands. She knows sit, lay down and place. We love her so much! She is my son's shadow whenever he's home.

Jackson-black dog
Storm- brown dog
Jackson Storm, like the race car 🏎️
Have been a blessing to our family. My son who has autism loves his dogs !
We go on either wagon rides, bike rides and even golf cart rides daily.
My son loves to give them snacks and make sure they are always present on almost every occasion.
Our dogs are great !!
They learn so fast!
They don’t bark, they don’t chew house stuff, they love their crate. We are slowly introducing them to the couch when we invite them over…. Just for a few minutes. We don’t want them to use it as a Playground or jungle gym. 😂 they sleep all night. It took about a month to potty train them.
they know a lot of commands like:
sit, lay, paw, up/down (car ramp),off, stay, bed, crate, looking, leave it.
We are working on heel and break…this one’s gonna take a while.
Their temperament is out of this world.
The only thing I feel people need to know is if you feed them too early for dinner the following day they had to eat an early breakfast. If not, they get nauseous and throw up.
Also cleaning out the hair in the ears at the groomers.. to prevent ear infections. Or trimming down the
(side burns) hair closest to the ear to allow some airflow because the haircut would be covered by the floppy ears anyway.
Jackson and storm are both big dogs. They just turned seven months. Jackson is definitely 60+ pounds.
Storm is 50 ish pounds estimation I haven’t weighed them yet. 😅 I’m planning to weigh them this Tuesday. To get some heart worm prevention medication.

June 2023 update, and comparison to the McMullan's MFN F1 Newfiedoodle, "Barney:"
"Honey is so sweet and her fur is so incredibly soft you just can't get enough ❤️. I don’t know if the soft fur is an F1B but it’s VERY soft. She’s super friendly and super smart. She’s smaller at about 70 pounds but she doesn’t look that heavy - she’s much shorter than Barney (we are happy that she is lighter and smaller than Barney). She loves to snuggle and be close like touching you - Barney is more independent and likes his space. She does get into everything but she’s still a puppy and we have puppy proofed out home but every now and again we find a spatula or fork out in the grass LOL. She follows Barney everywhere - and she absolutely loves her toy box and her squeaky dog toys, it’s so cute. Just like a toddler playing."

June 30, 2024 Pupdate:
Hi! It’s nice to hear from you and I’m happy to send pics of Trotter. As you know, he is almost 21 months old now, and he weighs about 77 pounds. He’s an incredibly sweet dog; very playful, full of energy and def a lap dog, too. Thank heavens for furniture that allows him to sit right next to me, touching me, because he really likes that.
He’s also very aware of the pack leader in our house - me. My husband, who he adores, lets him slide with some behaviors, like jumping on him and getting on furniture I don’t allow. Trotter is very cognizant of the fact that I don’t allow it, and if I see him do it, he looks at me like a contrite child! I fuss at both he and my husband and I think they both think they’ve been busted! In spite of the “fun” my husband allows, at the end of the day Trotter still prefers to settle down wherever I am. He’s very aware of where his place in the pack is and he finds a lot of reassurance in that.
He’s been an easy dog to train. I was 62 when we got him and knew I probably wouldn’t try to train another dog of his size after him, and I’m not likely to still, but he has not been more than I can handle. He’s like every other dog; he’s anxious to please and absolutely required constant attention to shape him into the dog he is today, but he came from great stock and it shows. His temperament is perfect. His health has been perfect. And he’s handsome. Everything we hoped he would be.
I’m sending two pics; one of his face. You can’t see his features, but he’s black, so that is really hard to mitigate in photos. The second pic is him standing next to a recliner so you can get an idea of his size. He’s like his father; not terribly tall, but is broad and muscular.
I hope all is well there on the farm! Happy holidays!
May 2023 Pupdate:
He has just been such a joy. He's funny, playful, sweet, loving and lazy. Yep. He can be running a mile a minute and then just literally plop down and want to nap. And he likes (loves really) his belly rubs. He will roll over and show his belly and wait for the rub everytime you walk past him. When I get up in the night he wakes up just enough to roll over and expect that rub - twice; once as I go in the bathroom, and once on the way back to the bed. He has slept in our bedroom (free range of the house) for the last two months. He uses a bench to get up on the bed if he wants but usually finds it too hot and goes for the hardwood floor and the a/c vent. He's up to 60 pounds at 6 months. And he's magnificent.
I hope some of these pictures tickle your fancy... and yes, he is indeed pooping in one, but it's one of my faves because it was his first grooming experience and my grandkids thought he was trying not to poop on his new tie, lol. Most pics he is with his fur-sister, Ellie, who was taller than him when we got him and outweighed him by 20 pounds. He outweighs her by 20+ pounds now.
Enjoy while I try to remember I don't need another dog...
Best wishes,
Cheri
2-2-23 update
Trotter is doing so well! In two days he has learned “sit” via voice command and hand command. He has learned to ring the bells to go out and go potty. He has only had one accident in the house (he was signaling and I missed it) and has not had one in his crate at all. He’s sleeping most of the night with only one mid-sleep potty trip.
Any doubts I may have had in getting a pup his age have been proven wrong. I thought it might be a problem but it has not been. I think that is largely because of the work you did with him beforehand. He has been the easiest dog I’ve trained, which is outstanding considering the number of dogs I have owned. He gets along wonderfully with his fur-sister, Ellie.
He is so loved!

I took him to the vet yesterday, clean bill of health! They loved him. Everywhere he goes he's fawned over because he's such a handsome, sweet boy. He's so smart, gentle, and sweet, and he isn't scared of anything. He's eager to please, both of which are very important. We've bonded so much in just a few days!
i’m meeting with the trainer soon and i’m confident he will pass the evaluation and be able to start service dog training. he’s so smart, gentle, and sweet, and he isn’t scared of anything + he’s eager to please, both of which are very important. we’ve bonded so much in just a few days. he’s a weirdo who enjoys chewing on the grooming glove and my slipped instead of the toys i give him :)
finally, i may have spoiled him a bit already 🤦♀️ hey i tried haha. right now he's sleeping on the hoodie he stole from me instead of the bed i bought him… of course lol.

Storm- brown dog
Jackson Storm, like the race car 🏎️ ave been a blessing to our family.

Canoe is doing well. He is such a good boy. So smart. Great with other animals. Great with kids of all sizes. He is a ladies man. Prefers women over men under he gets to know you. Loves lots of attention and belly rubs. Completed a K9 off leash training camp about a year ago with flying colors and really hasn’t been on a leash since (other than our field trips to Lowes)… Loves the dock and sitting by the lake but doesn’t like to swim. We are still working on that. He is 83 pounds.
