Charlie's Beautiful Puppies Born May 12th!
Big brown and white Charlie is the pretty mama of these puppies. This litter was intentionally multi-sired, with Walter and Mason being the handsome papas (each pups' sire marked below, determined by recently completed DNA testing)! Please see Our Dogs for more pictures and information about each parent!
Haddie "Charlie 2" - Now home with Nancy in SC!
Sire: Walter
Update October 26, 2019
Just to let you know I love my Charlie - which I did the moment we got home with her. I did have some problems with her due to my age and her strength, but we worked with a trainer who used a collar that squeezes the muscle so that the dog pays attention to you. My two problems were her trying to dart away when she saw something she would rather do and not coming in the yard when called.
We have worked with him for 6 lessons and she is a delight to work with. She still loves to climb up in my lap at times and get on our bed, both of which we permit, but she stays off of the sofa, but most importantly, with the simple word "here" she comes immediately. She forgets her size, but that isn't a problem.
She has put more joy in our lives. I know when I last wrote, I was a little down due to her strength and her being a puppy who always thought of herself, but I just wanted to let you know, she was on my bucket list and I couldn't be happier.

Update March 25, 2019
Our girl has grown and now is over 100 pounds. She has a lot of energy, persistence and independence as she likes to do things her way... She slowly is growing out of her impishness, e.g. taking things from the counter. She is so smart. I reward her with a biscuit when we are walking when we hear a dog bark or pass one so that she looks to me and realizes that good things happen when we pass an area which could cause her concern. The next day when we pass that area where she got a treat, she looks to me for another reward even though there is nothing to be rewarded for. It doesn't faze her when she is scolded and she is a happy girl. Sammie who is almost 10 years old is her best friend and she insists that he play with her when she wants. She paws him and barks until he gives in.

Update from 5-11-20
My big Newf is going to be two! I’m so happy he’s in our lives. He makes every day a new adventure full of laughs! Thank you for bringing him into our lives
Update from 8-21-18
“Maverick” is doing well. No indoor accidents. He sleeps in his crate at night, rings the bells to go outside and is starting to “sit.” He loves his tummy rubbed as well as behind the ears! Today was the first day that we both left to go to work. He was home, in his crate, for about 4 hours without any issues.
