The Girls
Bambi "Stella" - Enjoyed a wonderful life with Laurie in TX. See her story below.
It's always sad to hear of the loss of one of our puppies. Laurie contacted us in tears when she lost Stella suddenly after her spay. Stella was not only a beloved pet, but she also served an important role as a therapy dog, visiting Laurie's clients several times each week in a drug/alcohol treatment center where she was quite popular. Ironically, Stella's litter-mate Angus had recently been returned to us when his family could no longer keep him. When told this news, Laurie immediately began working on a plan to get Angus to Texas. Since she already had another male Newfie with the name Angus, she changed his name to Truman. Truman is now entering a professional training program as he prepares to fill his sister's big shoes...the silver lining to this cloud.
Update from 9-3-20
Once in a lifetime, you get a dog who steals your heart more than all others. For me, that's my Stella. She is big and beautiful but also the sweetest, funniest girl ever.
Update from 1-21-19
She is active and full of energy and her weight today is 30.2#. We are so thrilled to have her in our home and appreciate all that you and your family do! I couldn't be happier! She is absolutely wonderful and we just love her. She leaves for 2 weeks starting on Saturday for puppy boot camp😢. I will miss her so much but it will be a great start for her training. After that she can start coming to the air base and my office every day.

Bodie taking a walk with his buddy
April 21, 2021 update
Hi!!!
Bhodi is doing well. He is so happy for my oldest to be back in school so he can go for walks to get her. I think he really is settling into his lazy Newfie lifestyle lol he’s calmed down quite a bit over the past year, or maybe it’s that he has a little more self-control. He will be in the front yard laying in the grass, and will watch other dogs pass by without taking off.

July 9, 2020 Update
Bhodi is living life to the fullest! This summer heat has slowed him down just a little. We welcomed our second daughter in September and he has been wonderful with her since day one. I call him “shadow” sometimes because he follows me around all the time. He just wants to be with us, even if it just beside the rocker when I’m putting the baby to sleep. He loves looking out the window at rabbits and deer that come through our neighborhood, Laying with the girls outside in the blanket, and he travels well. Last weekend we visited my brother and his three dogs in Hampton for a doggie play date. Hope you enjoy these pictures of our big guy! He is loving all of this time we are home because of COVID.
March 25, 2019 Update
I was just recommending you guys to a couple I met at the dog park yesterday who were thinking of getting a Newfie! Bhodi is doing so well! He is a hit everywhere we go and loves the attention. He has the calmest temperament and is completely house trained. We switched him to salmon dog food after the vet thought he may have a chicken allergy causing him little bumps on his skin. Ever since we switched, he has been fine. His favorite things right now are chewing on sticks, leaving slobber trails on anything and anyone, going to Home Depot and Lowe’s, and playing with his squeaky dinosaur. He is so loving! Here are a few pictures! Hope you all are doing well!
