]]><![CDATA[Two amazing moore family newfOUNDLANDs meet up!]]>Thu, 18 Jan 2024 02:58:30 GMThttps://www.moorefamilynewfoundlands.com/newfie-news/two-amazing-moore-family-newfoundlands-meet-upI wanted to share a video and photo of 2 amazing newfs that came from your farm.  Leo (Margoree and Luke ‘22) and Cole (Charli and Joey ‘21) had a play date!   Kim and I walked around her amazing farm with them and they had a ball!

Cole is the black one. He is just the most amazing dog.  He is chill and social. He lives with two small dogs, one of which is a handicap yorkie with a big attitude.  He is gentle and kind with both of them.  

Leo is the happiest dog we’ve ever met. His tail does not stop wagging.  He is so sweet and fun and a very handsome boy.  When they met up, Leo was encouraging Cole to play!  Cole’s small dog siblings are not as much fun, he needed some big dog guidance.  

I’ve attached a video and photo of their adventure. 

Thank you so much for the joy you have brought us.  The temperament of these dogs clearly shows how much you care and nurture them when they are born.  

Now if I could only get my husband to agree to another…. : )

]]><![CDATA[If you get a 6th MOORE FAMILY NEWFOUNDLAND...]]>Mon, 27 Nov 2023 19:12:32 GMThttps://www.moorefamilynewfoundlands.com/newfie-news/if-you-get-a-6th-moore-family-newfoundlandWe so enjoyed Michael Bublitz and his family coming recently all the way from Minnesota to pick up Lucie Doozie's puppy "Dee" (new name Mattie Junior "MJ") AND our special retiree Lottie Dottie.  The Bublitz family has "Winnieford the Pooh Bear Dog," daughter of Lottie and Luke, and "Charlie Brown Bear Dog," daughter of Margoree and Luke, and they also had "Matilda the Big Brave Dog," daughter of Bailee and Luke.   After Mattie was tragically lost in an accident, this was a silver lining to the cloud.   Lottie will spend her retirement in the Bublitz home with her own daughter Winnie and granddaughter MJ.   What's more, the Bublitz brought their daughter Hannah and her husband Diego, with Rigel, our sweet Irish Spotted foundation male that retired with Hannah and Diego a couple of years ago. .   It was so good to see the Bublitz family and Mr. Rigel again.   Rigel is doing great and will be 10 years old in May!    

​THANK YOU BUBLITZ FAMILY FOR GIVING A GREAT HOME TO EACH OF YOUR MFN NEWFIES!

🏖️🐾 Pool Safety Tips 🏊‍♂️

Make a splash and stay safe! If you plan on visiting the pool with your dogs this summer follow these tips for a fun and safe pool trip!

🐾 Teach your dog how to enter the pool safely and guide them to locate the stairs for a smooth exit. Make sure they know their way around the pool.

💦 Watch their water intake – drinking excessive chlorinated pool water can upset their stomach. Be sure to offer fresh water nearby.

👀Never leave your dog unsupervised with pool access. Create a secure environment by installing a locked gate that separates your dog from the pool area when you're not actively watching.

💧 Check the water temperature before letting your dog jump in. Note that only a handful of breeds are equipped for extremely chilly water.

Be sure to follow these pool safety tips and make this summer a pool-tastic time! 🌞
