Likely the sweetest Newfie we've ever seen, Miss Bailee Belle (daughter of Bertha and Rigel) will be sorely missed! Three years ago, Diana Reiss, PhD (professor in Psychology at Hunter College and Director of the Animal Behavior & Conservation Graduate programs) emailed us to say she would love to have Bailee when we retire her. She patiently waited as Bailee continued to star in our breeding program, with her pups being highly sought for their lower drool potential and stellar temperaments. Bailee is transitioning well from farm girl to city girl, enjoying her daily walks in Riverside Park adjacent to Hudson River as well as her weekend jaunts to the lake in CT. We're so happy for Bailee and for Diana and look forward to a lifetime of wonderful updates! Bailee (now Delphi) is doing great! We love her some much and she is so smart and learns so fast. She and our cat are amazing together. Melchior (our cat) naps next to her after breakfast every day (he did this with Orson our previous Newfy as well). But this am, Melchior walked directly up to her face slowly and sniffed her and Bailee licked him on the head twice very very gently. Melchior then napped next to her. It’s unbelievable how quickly these two bonded. A match made in heaven. We waited so long to find the right dog —and we did. I am sure she misses you all and I am trying to give her all the love you and your family have provided her that have resulted in the wonderful being she is.
Warmly, Diana
